Based in the APY Lands (SA) or Alice Springs, this role is a key coordination point between all PYEC locations and will involve regular travel to the APY Lands.

About the Role

This is a varied administration role combining general office coordination with dedicated Board support.

You will help keep day-to-day administration organised, accurate and on track, while ensuring Board meetings, papers, records and follow-up actions are well coordinated.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • ·       coordinating mail, freight, deliveries and office supplies

  • ·       coordinating approved purchasing and obtaining quotes
  • ·       providing regular administrative support
  • ·       helping improve administrative systems, processes and document control.

The role will ordinarily be split between general administration and Board support, with flexibility around Board and committee meeting requirements.

About You

We are looking for someone who is practical, organised and comfortable managing a range of competing priorities.

You will ideally have:

  • ·       experience in administration, office support or business support
  • ·       strong organisational and time-management skills
  • ·       good written and verbal communication skills
  • ·       experience coordinating meetings and taking minutes
  • ·       strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
  • ·       confidence using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace or similar systems
  • ·       the ability to work independently and follow through on tasks
  • ·       a professional approach to confidential and sensitive information
  • ·       the ability to build respectful relationships with Anangu, employees and stakeholders
  • ·       willingness and ability to regularly travel within the APY Lands.

Experience supporting a Board, committee or governance forum will be highly regarded.

Experience working in an Aboriginal organisation, community-based organisation or remote environment would also be advantageous.

Pitjantjatjara language skills are highly valued.

Why Join PYEC?

This is an opportunity to work with an Anangu-led organisation and contribute directly to strong administration, governance and education outcomes across the APY Lands.

The role offers:

  • ·       a diverse and hands-on administration position
  • ·       exposure to Board and governance administration
  • ·       regular connection with communities across the APY Lands
  • ·       the opportunity to work alongside Anangu employees, leaders and communities
