What they need

Administrator – Buying Team

Organised, proactive and great at making things happen? This could be the role for you.

We’re looking for an Administration Assistant to join the heart of our Buying Team at Monster Group.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll help coordinate our new product orders and support our Buyers in getting products from order through to launch. You’ll be the person helping to keep everything organised, on track and moving in the right direction.

We’re looking for someone who is a great communicator, naturally organised and a confident problem-solver. You’ll need to be comfortable juggling different priorities, chasing information when needed and finding practical – and sometimes creative – solutions when things don’t quite go to plan.

You don’t need previous Buying experience. What’s more important is that you’re quick to learn, willing to get stuck in and take pride in getting the details right, with training and support provided along the way.

Who We Are

Monster Group is a dynamic e-commerce retailer offering a diverse range of high-quality, great-value products to customers around the world. Guided by our values of Fun+, Respect, Empowerment, and Forward-Thinking, we’re passionate about what we do and driven to keep growing, innovating, and delighting our customers every day.

What you'll be doing

  • Working closely with Buyers, suppliers and other teams to make sure everyone has the information they need.
  • Becoming a systems pro, helping coordinate workflows, maintain accurate product and order information, updating purchase orders and running reports.
  • Supporting the team with projects and improvements across the Buying function.
  • Managing our instruction manual platform, helping make sure new and existing product manuals are accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinating packaging artwork, product labels and instruction manuals with suppliers.
  • Thinking creatively when the standard solution doesn't work – from carton artwork and unusual product labels to finding practical ways to get something over the line.
  • Supporting product compliance, documentation and new product inspections.
  • Helping coordinate spare parts and other requirements for new products.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate product codes (SKUs) and product information.
  • Communicating with suppliers, asking questions, chasing information and helping resolve issues.
  • Providing day-to-day support to the Buying Team and helping keep everything running smoothly.

What We're Looking For

  • Brilliant organisation and attention to detail – you’ll have lots of different things happening at once.
  • Great communication skills – confident communicating with suppliers and people across the business.
  • A natural problem-solver – someone who looks for a solution rather than simply highlighting a problem.
  • Proactive and willing to get stuck in– comfortable managing your own workload, taking ownership and following things through, while working as part of a busy team.
  • Confident with systems and technology – able to pick up new systems quickly and become our go-to person for the tools you use.
  • Experience using Adobe InDesign or Illustrator would be a bonus, but it isn’t essential.

Working Hours & Location:

Full time - starting between 8.00am and 9.30am, and finish between 4.00pm and 5.30pm (37.5 hours per week with 30 minutes or 1 hour for lunch). You will be based at our modern offices near York (YO60 6PG) 5 days a week, so having your own transport is essential. We’re passionate about developing our people, and this role sits within our structured Buying MPP (Monster Progression Plan), giving you a clear path for learning, growth, and progression from day one.
