Administration Assistant - Insurance Trainee

Australian Commercial Transport Insurance Brokers  (ACTIB) have been providing insurance broking services to the transport industry for over 45 years.

We are seeking an individual who is keen and wanting to join a growing, friendly, and successful team as an administration assistant/trainee.   This is an entry level position which will introduce you to the various areas of the business. High School Graduates are encouraged to apply to begin an insurance career path.

ACTIB have a strong track record of training individuals from entry level to become Account Executives who develop and build their own careers and businesses.

About the Role

This busy, varied and interesting role will see your daily tasks include, but not limited to:

• Providing administration support to Account Executive and Account Manager.
• Assist with management of client portfolios.
• Carry out client and underwriting communications as instructed.
• Update records on a easy to use platform like Winbeat and Sunrise.

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to details.
• Ability to follow instructions
• Strong Microsoft Office knowledge in Outlook, Excel and Word.
• A professional and pleasant phone manner.
• Previous insurance experience not essential however would be advantageous.

• A willingness to undertake and complete insurance studies Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualifications and/or Tier 2 General Insurance Compliance (fully funded and supported by the business)  is highly desirable.
• Professional and strong work ethic.
• Good time management skills and the ability to multi task.
