What they need

Right at Home is seeking an organised and approachable Administration Officer to support our office team during a 12-month parental leave contract.

You’ll help provide a positive experience for our clients, families and service providers by delivering reliable, professional administration support. There may be an opportunity to continue in a role with Right at Home after the contract ends, depending on business needs.

About the role

Working under general direction and following established procedures, your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering incoming calls promptly, responding to general enquiries and directing callers to the right team member.
  • Greeting visitors and providing helpful, professional customer service.
  • Uploading, filing and maintaining client, staff and supplier records accurately.
  • Entering and updating information in our systems, spreadsheets and registers.
  • Checking invoices against service records and agreed details, and referring discrepancies to the appropriate person.
  • Preparing standard emails, letters, forms and other office documents.
  • Following up missing information and assisting with routine office administration.
  • Handling client and employee information confidentially.

You’ll take responsibility for the accuracy of your work, use initiative within established guidelines and seek guidance when a matter needs further review.

About you

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • At least 12 months’ relevant administration experience.
  • Clear communication skills and a courteous, confident telephone manner.
  • Accurate data entry skills and confidence using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and follow through on outstanding work.
  • A respectful, patient approach when communicating with older people and their families.
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to assist colleagues.

Experience in aged care, community services or a similar environment would be an advantage.

What we offer

  • Full-time employment, working 38 hours per week.
  • A 12-month parental leave contract, with the possibility of ongoing employment after the contract, subject to business needs.
  • Training in our systems and office procedures.
  • The opportunity to contribute to a team supporting people to remain living at home.
