What they need

Join CQMHAODS and put your admin superpowers to work supporting mental health and wellbeing across Central Queensland.
From coordinating busy schedules and keeping records on point to supporting consumers and clinical teams, you’ll play an important role in helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. If you’re a confident communicator, a detail-loving multitasker and a team player who thrives in a busy environment, we’d love to hear from you!
This temporary backfill opportunity is available until January 2027, so bring your skills, make an impact and apply today!

About us:

At CQMHAODS, we're passionate about making a real difference to mental health and wellbeing across Central Queensland! We provide specialist mental health, alcohol and other drug services to more than 250,000 people across Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana.

With services across the region, including acute adult inpatient care in Rockhampton and a Step-Up Step-Down facility in Gladstone, we're here to support people when they need us most and help them take positive steps towards recovery.

About the role:

  • Be the organisational superstar! Keep the team running smoothly with a mix of administrative and business support, diary and inbox management, recruitment, onboarding and general office coordination.
  • Keep everyone on track! Prepare meeting agendas, capture accurate minutes, maintain spreadsheets and reports, and juggle competing priorities like a pro.
  • Be the communication go-to! Connect with consumers and staff across clinical, medical and administrative teams, handle calls with care and discretion, and help keep information flowing.
  • Make every detail count! Learn and use specialised computer systems, coordinate fleet vehicles, support the Needle and Syringe Program when required, and step in to provide leave coverage when needed.

About you:

  • Confident, clear and approachable, with the people skills to connect with consumers and staff and respond thoughtfully to their needs.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and other computer systems, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accurate data entry and documentation.
  • Can juggle priorities, work independently and tackle new challenges while keeping things running smoothly in a busy environment.
  • Ready to support the diverse needs of CQMHAODS, handle sensitive information with care and discretion, and provide professional, confidential support that helps our clinical teams deliver the best possible care.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $8,682 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $41.44 - $46.05 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
