What they need

Are you organised, reliable and naturally good with people?

MV Solar is looking for an Administration Assistant to join our team at our Rutherford office. This is a varied position combining customer service, general administration, installation paperwork, ordering and support across different areas of the business.

We are looking for someone who wants to become a long-term part of our team, build their knowledge and gradually take on greater responsibility as they develop in the role.

Some previous administration or customer-service experience would be beneficial, but it is not essential. We are happy to provide in-house training to someone with the right attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn.

About MV Solar

MV Solar is a local, family-owned and operated business with more than 16 years of experience across residential, commercial and off-grid solar.

We pride ourselves on providing quality systems, honest advice and ongoing support to our customers. Our administration team plays an important role in keeping our customers informed and ensuring each job progresses smoothly from the initial enquiry through to completion.

About the role

You will be one of the first points of contact for our customers and will support the day-to-day administration of our sales, installation and service departments. No two days will look exactly the same.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering incoming phone calls, emails and customer enquiries
  • Greeting customers and visitors at our Rutherford showroom
  • Gathering clear and accurate information from customers
  • Entering new leads and maintaining customer records
  • Monitoring shared email inboxes and directing enquiries to the correct team
  • Following up customers and internal team members when required
  • Completing installation and post-installation paperwork
  • Uploading and maintaining customer documents, photos and job files
  • Sending customers the required documents following their installation
  • Ordering equipment and materials from approved quotes and job information
  • Raising purchase orders and tracking deliveries
  • Communicating with suppliers regarding missing, damaged or incorrect equipment
  • Maintaining accurate digital records and organised folders
  • Supporting the wider administration team during busy periods
  • Assisting with other general administrative tasks when required

Some previous experience in administration, reception or customer service would be beneficial, but we are open to someone earlier in their career who demonstrates the right qualities and willingness to learn.

Previous experience in solar or renewable energy is not required. Full training will be provided across our systems, processes and industry-specific administration.

What we offer

  • Comprehensive in-house training
  • Ongoing learning and development
  • A stable, long-term position with room to grow
  • A varied role where you can build experience across different areas of the business
  • Support from an experienced administration and technical team
  • The opportunity to work within the growing renewable-energy industry
  • A friendly, local and family-owned workplace
  • A full-time position based at our Rutherford office

How to apply

Please submit your resume and a short cover letter telling us about yourself, any relevant administration or customer-service experience and what you are looking for in your next long-term role.

For any questions about the position, please email [email protected].
