Adobe AEM Technical Systems Designer

Job Summary

The Adobe AEM Technical Systems Designer will be responsible for evaluating business needs and technical requirements to design and deliver web and mobile content management solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). The role involves analysing system requirements, defining technical specifications, and designing scalable system architectures, content structures, security models, automated workflows and reusable templates. Key responsibilities include designing and enhancing AEM components, planning integrations with external applications and services, and ensuring technical solutions align with business objectives and system requirements. The role also involves collaborating with development teams, supporting system testing and deployment, reviewing system performance, and resolving technical issues to ensure secure, efficient and maintainable digital solutions.

### Required Skills and Experience

• Good experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including AEM Sites, templates, components and workflows.
• Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, OSGi, Apache Sling and JCR.
• Experience with AEM architecture, content modelling, security configurations and workflow design.
• Hands-on experience with HTL (Sightly), Sling Models and AEM Core Components.
• Ability to understand business requirements and prepare technical designs and specifications.
• Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service.
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs and JSON.
• Experience integrating AEM with third-party applications and services.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in system testing, debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
• Understanding of Agile development practices.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with business and technical teams.

### Desirable Skills

• Experience with Adobe Cloud Manager and other Adobe Experience Cloud products.
• Knowledge of AEM Dispatcher, caching and performance tuning.
• Experience with React, Angular or similar JavaScript frameworks.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure.
• Understanding of web security, accessibility and SEO best practices.

Pay: £50,000.00-£58,000.00 per year
