Adult Day Program Coach

Responsibilities

• Safely operate standard passenger vehicles to transport clients to medical appointments, community activities, and daily errands.
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene.
• Support clients with behavioral health needs and implement behavior management strategies in accordance with care plans.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure smooth coordination of services.
• Collect data related to client progress, behavior patterns, and service delivery for documentation purposes.
• Maintain safety protocols at all times, including first aid and CPR certification compliance, ensuring a secure environment during transportation and support activities.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year experience working in an adult day program.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Drivers License and clean driving record.
• Must pass Live Scan fingerprinting, TB test, and background check.
• CPR/first aid certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Skills

• Experience working with individuals with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, or developmental disabilities.
• Familiarity with home and community care environments and supporting clients with cognitive disabilities.
• Strong driving skills with the ability to operate a standard passenger car safely and responsibly.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with families and team members.
• Experience in social services or direct support roles involving intellectual disabilities support.
• First aid and CPR is preferred.
• Compassionate caregiving attitude combined with patience, adaptability, and attention to detail.
