Advanced CNC Machining Technologist (VMC/3-4 Axis)

Why this role matters: Every precise part you help produce fuels fast-moving Automotive and Military programs. At Anderson Express, complexity is the norm—and your expertise turns it into repeatable excellence.

Who We Are

We are a Tier 1 supplier trusted by Ford Motor Company and Laser Access. Our specialty is CNC machining and assembly of custom-engineered components for challenging programs. We’re a small, team‑centric company where growth opportunities are real and encouraged year after year.

Is this you?

  • Do you thrive on optimizing setups, dialing in tool offsets, and minimizing downtime?
  • Can you read prints, apply GD&T, and verify features using advanced metrology?
  • Are you comfortable training operators and collaborating with assembly personnel?
  • Do you enjoy switching gears quickly for changeovers and loading new programs?

What You’ll Tackle

  • Execute changeovers and machine setups efficiently.
  • Touch off tools, set and adjust offsets, and keep quality on target.
  • Identify, inspect, and replace worn or damaged tooling.
  • Load and verify CNC programs (G-code/M-code proficiency).
  • Load/unload parts properly and safely.
  • Measure using calipers, micrometers, pin/thread gauges, ring gauges, refractometer, and scales.
  • Accurately log time—clock in/out and record job data.
  • Sort conforming and nonconforming parts with care.
  • Stand for extended periods and support additional tasks as assigned.

Your Background

  • 2–3 years as a CNC operator (preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Comfort in a shop/production environment.
  • Strong math, analytical, and communication skills; team‑oriented attitude.

Technical Toolkit

  • GD&T
  • Equipment troubleshooting
  • CNC programming
  • G-code and M-code
  • CNC setup & changeover
  • Precision measurement & hand metrology
  • Advanced inspection & gauge measurement
  • Manual machining

Machines & Software You’ll Use

  • CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Haas, Doosan, Brother, Hurco, Dmg Mori Seiki)
  • CAM Software (Mastercam)

Compensation & Schedule

Salary: Based on experience
Employment: Fulltime

Additional Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident ('Green Card')
