This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who thrives on precision, problem-solving, and advancing modern manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (turning, milling, and multi-axis mill-turn).
  • Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code, software, or conversational controls.
  • Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for efficient machining of various materials.
  • Perform full machine setups including workholding, offsets, and tool presetting.
  • Conduct first-article inspections and make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
  • Analyze and improve machining processes for increased throughput and accuracy.
  • Maintain detailed records of setups, tooling, and process notes for repeatability.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams on design-for-manufacturability improvements.
  • Ensure all operations meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Critical Competencies for Success

  • Strong ability to program and troubleshoot CNC machines.
  • Deep understanding of tool paths, G/M code, feeds and speeds, and multi-axis machining.
  • Proven ability to set up and run complex parts with minimal supervision.
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Proactive problem solver who identifies opportunities for process optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in CNC machining, with programming and setup responsibilities.
  • Proficient in CAM software.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
  • Familiar with machining a range of materials including alloy steels, stainless, and aluminum.
  • Experience with continuous improvement or lean manufacturing practices is a plus.

Why Join Our Team

  • Hands-on work with advanced CNC technology and automation.
  • Opportunity to contribute ideas that shape the future of our production process.
  • Competitive pay, growth opportunities, and a team that values craftsmanship and innovation.
