Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) for Senior Primary Care

$120K-$140K + Bonus | No Nights, Weekends, or Call

Sunstate Doctors is an independent, physician-led senior primary care practice serving the Sun City Center and South Shore community since 2013. Our patients are predominantly Medicare and Medicare Advantage seniors, and our model rewards continuity, prevention, and quality over volume.

At a Glance

• Base salary: $120,000-$140,000, plus quality bonus
• Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM
• 100% outpatient: no nights, no weekends, no call, no hospital rounds

What You Will Do

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a senior patient panel in collaboration with Sunstate physicians
• Manage chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease, to prevent complications and hospitalizations
• Conduct Annual Wellness Visits and Medicare risk assessments
• Perform routine screenings, immunizations, and diagnostic testing
• Document to accurately support each patient’s conditions and care plan
• Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and chronic disease self-management
• Partner with the care team on quality and value-based initiatives

What You Bring

Required

• NP: MSN or DNP from an accredited program; national board certification (AANP or ANCC) in Family, Adult-Gerontology, or Gerontology; active Florida APRN license
• PA: Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program; current NCCPA certification; active Florida PA license
• Florida license, or ability to obtain one before start date
• DEA registration, or ability to obtain
• At least 1 year of value-based primary care experience (Medicare Advantage, managed care, or similar)
• Commitment to geriatric care, prevention, and long-term patient relationships

Preferred

• eClinicalWorks experience
• Spanish or bilingual skills

• Urgent care, walk-in, or high-volume clinic models
• Methadone, pain management, or medical marijuana clinics
• Episodic, one-time encounters without long-term follow-up
