Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA)

Job Summary

Vidaltia Primary Care is a new primary care practice in Fort Lauderdale, and we're hiring two full-time Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant): one who speaks English and Spanish, and one who speaks English and Haitian Creole. You'll provide primary care for patients of all ages — preventive care, acute visits, and chronic disease management — for a diverse and largely underserved community, seeing patients in their own language. You'll have reasonable patient panels, real time with each patient, and support from our supervising physician. This is a chance to be one of our founding providers and help build the practice from the ground up. Responsibilities

• Assess patients — vital signs, physical exams, and medical history — to guide diagnosis and treatment
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions for patients of all ages
• Prescribe medications and build treatment plans, including controlled substances via EPCS with PDMP checks, in line with your collaborative agreement and Florida regulations
• Perform routine in-office procedures such as suturing, joint injections, and EKGs
• Order and interpret labs and imaging, and coordinate referrals and specialty care
• Provide preventive care, screenings, and patient education
• Document care accurately in our EHR (CharmHealth)
• Offer telehealth visits and same- or next-day access to expand access to care
• Work closely with the supervising physician and care team to coordinate patient care

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and either Spanish or Haitian Creole (required)
• Active Florida APRN (NP) or PA license in good standing (for NPs, FNP or AGPCNP through AANP or ANCC)
• Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
• Current BLS/CPR
• At least 2 years of experience as an APP (NP or PA), ideally in primary care
• Comfortable in a startup and interested in helping build a practice
• Billing and coding proficiency is a plus but not required
• Florida autonomous-practice registration (for NPs) is a plus

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
