Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to establish accurate diagnoses.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with state laws and collaborative practice agreements.
• Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, and dermal filler administration while maintaining sterile technique.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions across specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, pain management, and emergency medicine.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation, order entry, and medical records management.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with valid licensure in the state of practice.
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, and individuals with disabilities.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation techniques including sonography and laboratory testing.
• Skilled in performing procedures like spinal taps, tube feeding management, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, and airway management.
• Experience working in various healthcare settings such as hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), outpatient clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or urgent care centers.
• Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), drug enforcement regulations (DEA), and HIPAA compliance standards.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on health coaching strategies and medication administration.
• Critical care experience including ICU or emergency room settings is highly desirable; additional expertise in infectious disease care or occupational health is a plus.

Pay: $72,700.00 - $187,600.00 per year
