Advance Your Career Beyond Primary Care

Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant looking for an opportunity to expand your clinical expertise, exercise sound medical judgment, and work alongside specialists in spine, orthopedics, and interventional pain management?

Medicus Spine & Joint is looking for a skilled, motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APRN, NP, or PA-C) to join our multidisciplinary medical team.

We specialize in evaluating and treating patients with spine, joint, neurological, musculoskeletal, and injury-related conditions. Our integrated approach brings multiple medical specialties together to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.

We're looking for a provider who is clinically confident, detail-oriented, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership of patient evaluations and treatment coordination.

If you enjoy solving clinical problems, connecting the dots between symptoms and diagnoses, and helping patients navigate their treatment, this may be the right fit.

The Role

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll serve as an important clinical point of contact, conducting comprehensive evaluations, identifying patient needs, and helping guide appropriate treatment pathways.

You'll work within an established specialty practice, collaborating with orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, interventional pain physicians, neurologists, chiropractors, and other clinical professionals.

Your responsibilities will include:

Conduct comprehensive new-patient evaluations and follow-up assessments.

Perform focused musculoskeletal, orthopedic, spine, and neurological examinations.

Review medical histories, diagnostic imaging, and prior treatment records.

Develop clinical assessments and individualized treatment recommendations within your scope of practice.

Identify appropriate diagnostic testing, specialist consultations, and treatment referrals.

Coordinate care across multiple specialties and monitor patient progress.

Recognize clinical red flags and escalate findings appropriately.

Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and next steps.

Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records.

Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, clinical teams, and external healthcare professionals.

Uphold high standards of clinical quality, documentation, and professional accountability.

Who We're Looking For

We value clinical judgment, initiative, communication, and a genuine commitment to patient care.

Required Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Florida APRN/NP or Physician Assistant (PA-C) license.

Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

Current national board certification, as applicable.

DEA registration or eligibility to obtain, if required.

Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and decision-making skills.

Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Ability to manage patient evaluations and coordinate care with appropriate clinical independence.

A collaborative, professional, and patient-first approach.

Experience That Sets You Apart

We're particularly interested in candidates with backgrounds in:

Orthopedics and spine care

Neurosurgery

Interventional pain management

Physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R)

Musculoskeletal medicine

Personal injury and accident-related care

Neurology

Emergency medicine or urgent care

Outpatient specialty medicine

Prior specialty experience is preferred, not required. Experienced providers from other clinical backgrounds with strong assessment skills and an interest in specialty medicine are encouraged to apply.

Why Join Medicus Spine & Joint?

Specialty Medicine Without the Hospital Schedule

Enjoy a consistent Monday–Friday outpatient schedule while developing your expertise in complex musculoskeletal and injury-related conditions.

Collaborative, Multidisciplinary Care

Work with physicians and providers across multiple specialties. You'll have access to an integrated clinical team and an established referral and treatment structure.

Meaningful Clinical Responsibility

We value providers who think critically, communicate clearly, take initiative, and actively contribute to patient care decisions.

Established Clinical Support

Focus on delivering quality care with the support of clinical and administrative teams and established operational workflows.

Competitive Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary of $110,000–$135,000, commensurate with experience.

Comprehensive employee benefits package.

Paid time off and paid holidays.

Retirement benefits.

Full-time, weekday outpatient schedule.

Opportunities for continued professional development within specialty medicine.
