Job Description for Nurse Practitioner

General Description:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our growing office. You will be responsible for providing patient care performing examinations to diagnose medical health conditions, prescribe medication and create a treatment plan when needed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform physician examinations and screenings of patients
• Order and administer tests including bloodwork
• Review and interpret test results
• Recommend treatment plan
• Provide referrals to other practitioners when needed
• Provide educational materials to patients and families
• Ensure patient records are kept up to date including test results, immunizations, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested by Medical and/or Clinical Director.

Work Experience Requirements:

• Minimum two (2) years experience in medical office as an APRN – pediatrics preferred.
• Experience with EMR preferred.

Education Requirements

• Maintains current certification and continuing education credits indicated within the State of Georgia
• Ability to read, write and speak English effectively
• Ability to speak Spanish preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
• Extended use of telephone.
• Some bending, stretching and minimal lifting (up to 15 lbs).
• Normal range of hearing, vision, and verbal communication

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: From $60.00 per hour
