Advanced Teaching Assistant

Salary: £25,614 to £26,847 per annum pro rata

We are looking to appoint an Advanced Teaching Assistant (ATA) to work 21 hours per week across the school. This teaching assistant post, under the direction of class teachers, will support children with needs within a classroom setting to improve access to learning. You would work alongside an established motivated staff team and you will be a valuable part of our whole school team.

The working hours will be discussed with the successful candidate. This is a fixed term position until 31st August 2027.

Leyburn Primary School is situated in the thriving market town of Leyburn in the Yorkshire Dales, approximately 20 minutes drive to the A1. It is part of the Yorkshire Collaborative Academy Trust (YCAT) which is a multi-academy trust dedicated to working with primary schools.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We will require the successful applicant to undertake an ENHANCED criminal record check via the DBS as well as checks to establish that candidates are medically fit for the post. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education and safer recruitment practices, we will conduct an online search (including social media) for all shortlisted candidates as part of our due diligence process.

You must also hold a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate or be prepared to undertake the training within 3 months of appointment.
