What they need
CAB Ceredigion Citizens Advice Advisers are resourceful, compassionate and practical. They enjoy getting to the heart of a matter, making sense of complex situations, working with information and enabling people to overcome the problems they face. Could this be you?
You’ll join our team of paid staff and volunteers, providing information and advice to people across Ceredigion on a wide range of issues, including benefits, debt, housing, employment, family matters and energy. You’ll work with clients in person at our community venues, over the phone and through digital channels. You will help them explore their problems, understand complex information, identify options available and enable decisions on the next steps that are right for the client.
You'll already be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. You'll also need to be methodical, flexible and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. You’ll take a positive and practical approach to your work and your colleagues, committed to providing a high-quality service to every client. Above all, you'll be motivated by the real difference you can make to people's lives.
Full training is provided with ongoing access to expert advice and supervision. We’ll also support you to develop your knowledge and skills so that you are delivering advice to our externally verified, quality-assured standards.
