工作职责:

Position Summary：

The Software Application Engineer is a Beijing-based role responsible for optical sensor driver development and customer integration across terminal platforms, with smartphones as the primary focus. The role supports Qualcomm and MTK sensor hub integration and other embedded terminal software environments, customizes software according to customer application requirements, and drives debugging, workaround definition, algorithm development and tuning for optical sensor use cases. This position also supports factory calibration flows for customer end products, works closely with FAE, marketing and sales for product promotion and technical communication, collaborates with European RD and AE teams to clarify device operating logic, and feeds customer application requirements back into next-generation product definition.

Key Responsibility：

• Develop, port and maintain optical sensor drivers for smartphones and other terminal platforms, including sensor initialization, register configuration, data path, interrupt/timing handling and power-state control.
• Support customer integration primarily on Qualcomm and MTK sensor hub platforms, and support other embedded terminal software environments as required, including bring-up, interface adaptation, log analysis, issue reproduction and release verification.
• Define, implement, validate and debug factory calibration flows for customer end products, including calibration strategy, software tools, parameter configuration, production data analysis and issue resolution.
• Customize driver behavior, configuration flow and algorithm parameters based on customer application scenarios, terminal platform constraints and product performance targets.
• Debug customer issues across driver, sensor hub, firmware, operating-system sensor framework, algorithm and hardware interaction; identify root cause and provide practical workaround or patch proposals.
• Develop and tune optical sensor algorithms, including parameter calibration, threshold/feature adjustment, data quality analysis and performance tradeoff evaluation.
• Use Python scripts for automated testing, data collection, log parsing, regression checks and algorithm tuning; summarize results into clear technical reports.
• Work with European RD and AE teams to clarify device working logic, register behavior, software flow, limitations and recommended integration practices.
• Support FAE, marketing and sales in product promotion, customer visits and technical workshops by preparing demos, technical explanations and customer-facing Q&A materials.
• Collect and analyze customer application requirements, software integration feedback and terminal-platform trends; provide structured input for next-generation product and software feature definition, and act as the local technical window in Beijing.

任职条件:

• Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, software engineering, electronic engineering, automation, optoelectronics or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of embedded software, sensor driver, mobile and/or other intelligent terminal platform or application engineering experience; optical sensor experience is preferred.
• Strong C programming capability and solid understanding of embedded software development, driver architecture, memory/resource constraints and debugging methods.
• Familiar with Qualcomm and MTK sensor hub platforms, sensor driver integration flow, mobile-platform debugging and customer build validation; experience with other embedded terminal platforms is a plus.
• Good understanding of common sensor interfaces and software flows such as I2C/SPI, interrupt handling, register configuration, data buffering, timing and power management.
• Able to debug complex issues using logs, traces, test builds, reproduction steps and cross-functional analysis; capable of proposing workaround, patch and risk assessment.
• Python scripting capability for automated tests, data collection, log parsing, plotting and algorithm parameter tuning.
• Experience with optical sensor algorithms, end-product factory calibration, data processing or feature tuning is a plus.
• Good customer-facing communication, structured problem solving and ability to explain technical topics to customer engineers, FAE, marketing and sales.
• English communication capability for technical discussion with European RD and AE teams, including issue clarification, documentation and remote debugging.
