Job Description: Senior Test Automation Engineer Adobe Analytics / AEM

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer with strong experience in web analytics, Adobe Experience Cloud, test automation, and data-layer validation. The ideal candidate will design and implement end-to-end testing strategies for complex web applications, analytics instrumentation, and MarTech implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver large-scale test automation and validation solutions for web analytics, data layers, and MarTech implementations.
• Architect and implement end-to-end testing strategies for client-side instrumentation and data layers.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using JavaScript and Python.
• Test Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and CMS platforms.
• Validate Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Platform, and digital analytics implementations.
• Work with tools such as Adobe Debugger and ObservePoint for analytics validation and debugging.
• Test single-page applications (SPAs) and complex customer journey flows.
• Design testing frameworks for API-driven and event-driven analytics systems.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines and release workflows.
• Perform hands-on testing of analytics instrumentation in production environments.
• Analyze system architecture and define effective validation approaches independently.
• Drive measurable improvements in data quality, test coverage, and delivery speed.
• Collaborate with product, business, analytics, and engineering teams.
• Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive test scenarios.
• Take ownership of data quality and release validation outcomes.
• Work with defect tracking and test management tools.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software testing/quality engineering, with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience designing and delivering large-scale test automation solutions.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Python for test automation and validation scripting.
• Deep experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD, DevOps, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Adobe Web SDK, tag management, Adobe Analytics, and data layers.
• Strong understanding of web instrumentation and analytics implementation.
• Experience testing data-intensive systems and performance optimization considerations for web instrumentation.
• Hands-on experience with analytics instrumentation in production environments.
• Experience with AEM and CMS platform testing.
• Ability to independently architect testing strategies with minimal direction.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and ownership mindset.
• Familiarity with defect tracking systems and test management tools.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and CMS platform testing.
• Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-based systems.
• Experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation into release workflows.
• Knowledge of Adobe Experience Platform and digital analytics.
• Experience with Adobe Debugger and ObservePoint.
• Experience testing SPAs and complex customer journey flows.
• Proven ability to improve data quality, test coverage, and delivery speed.
• Familiarity with data-intensive systems and web instrumentation performance optimization.
