AEM Forms Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for an AEM Forms Developer with solid hands-on experience in building enterprise-grade form solutions. The candidate should be able to deliver end-to-end form implementations independently from development through integration and production stability.

1. AEM Forms – Core Development

• Development of Adaptive Forms and Form Fragments for enterprise use cases [MUST]
• Development and configuration of XDP-based forms (PDF/Print channel) [MUST]
• Development of AEM Forms OSGi Workflows for process automation [MUST]
• Development of OSGi Services and Components within the AEM platform [MUST]
• Experience with AEM Forms Document Services — Output, Assembler, Forms Service [MUST]
• Development of Form Data Model (FDM) and integration with backend data sources [MUST]
• Logical structuring and reuse of form artefacts using Fragments [MUST]
• Performance optimization using Lazy Loading and deferred rendering [MUST]

2. Adobe LiveCycle

• Experience with Adobe LiveCycle modules: Forms, Process Management, Rights Management, Document Security, Digital Signatures [GH]
• Adobe LiveCycle upgrades — ES2 / ES3 / ES4 [GH]

3. Java / JEE Development

• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles and patterns [MUST]
• Application development on Java / JEE platform [MUST]
• Servlet development within AEM [MUST]
• OSGi / Felix bundle and component development [MUST]
• Web service development and consumption — SOAP and REST [MUST]
• Familiarity with JCR / CRX and Apache Sling basics [MUST]
• Maven for build management [MUST]
• JUnit for unit testing and code quality discipline [MUST]

4. Front-End Development

• Proficiency in HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3 [MUST]
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries: jQuery, AJAX [MUST]
• Working knowledge of JSON and JSON Schema for form data handling [MUST]
• Familiarity with RESTful API consumption — async/await and Promise patterns [MUST]
• Experience with code versioning using Git [MUST]
• Awareness of Core Web Vitals and web performance best practices [MUST]
• Experience with front-end tooling: Babel, Webpack, NPM [GH]

5. Database & Process

• Experience working with RDBMS — SQL queries and data mapping for form integrations [MUST]
• Experience working in Agile development environments (Scrum / Kanban) [MUST]
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues without heavy supervision [MUST]
• Ability to follow code review standards and deliver production-quality code [MUST]

• Delivers stable, production-ready forms with minimal rework
• Owns assigned form journeys end-to-end — development through integration
• Builds reusable artefacts (Fragments, FDMs, OSGi services) that reduce future effort
• Works effectively with business, UX, and backend teams without extensive hand-holding
