Aerial Arts Program Coordinator

About the role

Los Gatos Elite's Aerial Arts program has a strong lead coach and a solid support staff. What we need now is someone to round out the team: a capable coach who also enjoys the organizational side of running a program.

Our aerial program includes:

• Recreational Aerial Silks
• Recreational Aerial Hoop/Lyra
• Competitive/Performance Hoop and Fabric

You'll coach across these levels and take ownership of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the program running — scheduling, registrations, parent communication, and competition logistics — in partnership with our lead coach and LGE leadership.

What your week looks like

• 10–12 hours coaching – recreational silks and hoop/lyra classes, plus support for competitive/performance team training
• 3–5 hours admin – class rosters and scheduling, parent emails, competition registrations and entry fees, travel planning, showcase and event coordination
• Travel for competitions – accompany the team to aerial competitions and performances (dates shared in advance)

Responsibilities

• Coach recreational silks and hoop/lyra classes with safe, consistent progressions
• Assist the lead coach with competitive/performance training, conditioning, and act preparation
• Maintain the aerial class schedule, rosters, and enrollment records
• Serve as a primary point of contact for aerial families on schedules, fees, and competition details
• Manage competition registrations, entry fees, travel arrangements, and day-of logistics
• Coordinate with support coaches on coverage and class needs
• Follow and reinforce LGE's safety and rigging standards
• Represent LGE's culture of respect, growth, and teamwork with athletes, families, and staff

What we're looking for

• Solid experience in aerial silks/fabric and hoop/lyra as a coach and/or performer
• Experience coaching youth, from beginners through competitive/performance level
• Strong organizational and communication skills; comfortable with email, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools
• Someone who likes being the person who keeps things on track
• Working knowledge of aerial rigging and safety practices
• Available for competition travel, including some weekends
• Choreography or performance experience a plus
• Must pass and maintain a green light background check; CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) required
• Must be able to stoop, bend, climb, and lift 50 pounds overhead

Why LGE

This is a role with real responsibility and a clear path to grow as the program does. Our aerialists perform in LGE's annual Showcase alongside our gymnastics and ninja athletes.
