Aerodynamics Engineer 6 (Virtual)

For our client, we are seeking a Aerodynamics Engineer 6 (Virtual) to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will focus on advanced aerodynamic and aerothermodynamic analysis, design, and testing in support of complex aerospace programs. The engineer will help shape innovative solutions that improve performance, safety, and cost effectiveness while working across multi-disciplinary teams. This position also involves influencing technical direction at the enterprise level and mentoring less experienced engineers.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $183,600 – $285,200 annually

Responsibilities

• Consult on aerodynamic and aerothermodynamic analysis, design, and testing
• Propose innovative designs and technology development plans
• Lead teams to resolve complex multi-disciplinary challenges
• Develop and coordinate test requirements for objectives
• Oversee regulations impacting cost, performance, and safety
• Mentor junior engineers and support their development
• Operate independently at the enterprise level to influence the market

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in aerospace engineering or a related field
• 5-7 years of experience in aerodynamics or aerothermodynamics
• Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering principles
• Proven ability to lead teams in complex problem-solving
• Eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
