Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Aerospace Engineer to join our cutting-edge team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, analyzing, and testing aerospace systems and components that push the boundaries of technology and safety. Your expertise will drive the development of advanced aircraft, spacecraft, and related systems, ensuring they meet rigorous standards for performance, reliability, and compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to pioneering projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment dedicated to engineering excellence and innovation.

Duties

  • Lead the design and development of aerospace systems using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, ensuring precise mechanical design and 3D modeling for product development.
  • Conduct system analysis including root cause analysis to troubleshoot engineering issues and optimize performance across aerospace components.
  • Manage project scheduling to ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones while coordinating cross-functional teams including manufacturing, civil engineering, and systems engineering.
  • Perform detailed building code analysis and ensure compliance with industry standards such as building code regulations and fire protection system requirements.
  • Utilize programming languages like Python, C++, MATLAB, and scripting tools to develop simulation models, automate testing procedures, and analyze data collected from laboratory experiments or field tests.
  • Oversee manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of mechanical design principles, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and system design to improve product quality and efficiency.
  • Lead research initiatives involving quantum engineering concepts or advanced mechanical systems to innovate next-generation aerospace solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members on schematic creation, building information modeling (BIM) tools, and system troubleshooting to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Engage in construction experience related to aerospace facilities or testing sites, ensuring adherence to safety standards and building information modeling (BIM) protocols.
  • Facilitate team leadership by guiding junior engineers, fostering cross-functional communication, and managing project timelines effectively.

Experience

  • Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within aerospace or related fields such as mining or civil engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management with a track record of successfully scheduling complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong background in mechanical engineering principles with hands-on experience in mechanical design, 3D modeling for product design, schematics development, and CAD software proficiency.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering processes including data analysis skills, research methodologies, laboratory experience, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), fire protection systems, building code compliance, or construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of data collection methods using 3D scanners or other advanced measurement tools to support research or quality assurance efforts.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration across teams specializing in civil engineering, mechanical design, or quantum technologies.
