After Sales Service Engineer

Why this role exists

Hundreds of palm oil mills across Malaysia installed CEMS to meet DOE Clean Air Regulations 2014. Many of those units are now 7–10 years old — out of support, drifting, failing QAL2, or running on obsolete spares. This role exists to find them, map them, and convert them into replacement and upgrade orders.

You are not cold-calling strangers. You are hunting a known, regulated, already-installed base.

What you'll actually do

• Build and own the master installed-base map of CEMS in Malaysian palm oil mills — mill, group owner, brand, model, year installed, service status, DOE compliance history
• Qualify which units are replacement-ready: end-of-life, repeat QAL2 failures, obsolete parts, unsupported brands, mill expansion or boiler change
• Get in front of mill managers, group engineering heads, and HSE/compliance leads — site visits, not just emails
• Work the group level, not just single mills. One plantation group can hold 20+ mills
• Prepare replacement proposals with the senior — scope, sampling system, integration, DOE submission path
• Hand over cleanly to Projects and stay on the account through commissioning
• Feed everything into the Ecos system — no shadow spreadsheets

How you'll be supported

• You'll be paired with a senior who has done this before. Joint calls, joint site visits, joint proposals for your first 6 months
• Technical training on our analyzer and sampling lines
• You are expected to be independent by month 9. The senior is a guide, not a crutch

Must have

• Diploma or degree in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics) — or equivalent field experience
• 2+ years in technical sales, service, or instrumentation. Palm oil, boiler, water treatment, or environmental monitoring background is a strong plus
• Comfortable on a mill site — boiler house, stack platform, hot and dusty. This is not an office job
• Valid driving licence and own transport. Willing to travel Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia
• Bahasa Malaysia and English. Mandarin is a plus for certain plantation groups
• Can read a P&ID and hold a technical conversation without hiding behind a brochure

Nice to have

• Existing relationships with plantation groups or mill engineering teams
• Familiarity with DOE submission, QAL2/AST, MS ISO 14956 or EN 14181 workflow
• Experience selling into regulated, compliance-driven buying cycles

What you get

• Base salary: [RM 3,000.00 to 4,000.00 range
• Commission: [%] on gross profit of every closed replacement or retrofit order, paid [on collection / on milestone]
• Accelerator: commission rate steps up once you pass target in a financial year
• Product incentive: additional amount or % per unit on priority brand/line
• Group-account bonus: one-off incentive for converting a multi-mill framework or group-wide replacement programme

• Clear path to Senior Sales Engineer / Account Manager as the installed-base portfolio grows

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
