Help children finish their school day on a high

Rising Stars Activities is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and engaging After School Activity Coaches to deliver fun sessions for children at schools across North West London.

You don't need to be a professional sports coach.

What matters most to us is that you're confident, dependable, good with children and able to bring plenty of positive energy to a group.

Previous experience is welcome but not essential. We'll provide full training and give you the support you need to confidently deliver Rising Stars sessions.

The role

Our after-school clubs are about getting children moving, having fun, building confidence and enjoying time with their friends.

Depending on the club, activities might include sports, team games and other active challenges.

You'll be responsible for helping create an environment where children feel included, encouraged and excited to take part.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading or supporting fun after-school activity sessions
  • Engaging children of different ages, personalities and abilities
  • Explaining activities clearly and keeping sessions organised
  • Encouraging participation and making sure every child feels included
  • Managing behaviour positively and consistently
  • Making sure equipment and activities are used safely
  • Following Rising Stars safeguarding procedures
  • Building positive relationships with children, schools and colleagues
  • Arriving reliably and professionally for every session

Who we're looking for

We're much more interested in finding the right people than ticking every box on a CV.

You could be an experienced coach, university student, teaching assistant, aspiring teacher, childcare professional or simply someone who is naturally brilliant with children.

We'd love to hear from you if you are:

  • Energetic and enthusiastic
  • Confident leading a group
  • Patient and positive with children
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable taking responsibility
  • Able to communicate clearly
  • Happy working as part of a team
  • Available on weekday afternoons during term time
  • Able to travel to schools across North West London

Previous experience in coaching, schools, childcare, youth work, camps or children's activities is desirable but not essential.

Full training will be provided.

Why work for Rising Stars?

You'll receive:

  • Competitive London hourly pay
  • Full training
