We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and caring Afterschool Assistant Group Leader to support children during our afterschool program located within a local elementary school. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in education, child development, recreation, or anyone who enjoys making a positive impact in children's lives.

Responsibilities

• Program Hours: 2:30PM-6:00PM
• Supervise and engage elementary-aged children in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Assist with organized activities, games, crafts, homework time, and outdoor play.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
• Ensure children follow program expectations and school safety guidelines.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming program space.
• Provide support during snack time, transitions, and daily routines.
• Communicate concerns, incidents, or important information to program leadership.

Qualifications, Required Skills, & Attributes

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to manage groups of children while maintaining a safe environment.

• Professionalism and good judgment when interacting with children and families.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, recreation, tutoring, or volunteer setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: $15.00 per hour
