School Cleaner – High Green, Sheffield S35

£13.45 per hour | Monday to Friday, 3pm–6pm | 15 hours per week | Term time

NowThen Cleaners is recruiting reliable cleaners to join our school cleaning team in High Green, Sheffield (S35).

This is a regular afternoon role, helping to keep the school clean, welcoming and ready for pupils and staff each day.

Working hours

• Monday to Friday, 3pm–6pm
• 15 hours per week
• Term-time working
• £13.45 per hour

You must be available for all five afternoon shifts and able to get to the school reliably for a 3pm start.

What you’ll be doing

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors and communal areas
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets and washrooms
• Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
• Wiping desks, surfaces and frequently touched points
• Emptying bins and replenishing washroom supplies
• Following the cleaning schedule and using products and equipment safely
• Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for people who are dependable, thorough and take pride in doing a good job. You should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, able to follow instructions and willing to carry out the physical tasks involved in cleaning.

Previous cleaning experience would be helpful, particularly in a school or commercial setting, but training will be provided.

Safeguarding and pre-employment checks

A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check for the Child Workforce is essential before you can start the role. Appointment is also subject to satisfactory references and right-to-work checks.

You must be willing to complete the required safeguarding training and follow the school’s safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
