What they need
After-School Cooking Instructor
Arts4Schools, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization, is seeking an After-School Cooking Instructor to teach children ages 7 to 12 at a school in New Haven, CT.
This is a very part-time contract position on Tuesdays from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and can teach fun, hands-on cooking lessons focused on:
- Healthy meals and snacks
- Basic cooking and food preparation skills
- Kitchen safety
- Following recipes and measuring ingredients
- Creativity and food presentation
- Helping children explore new foods and flavors
Applicants should have cooking, culinary, nutrition, baking, or food-service experience. Experience working with children is strongly preferred.
Background check required before starting.
