After School Coordinator

The After-School Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising after-school programs to ensure a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for students. This role includes coordinating activities, managing schedules, communicating with parents and staff, and ensuring that all program operations run smoothly and in compliance with school or organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement daily after-school activities, including academic support, enrichment programs, and recreational activities
• Supervise students to ensure safety, positive behavior, and participation
• Coordinate schedules for staff, volunteers, and program activities
• Communicate with parents, teachers, and administration regarding student progress, concerns, and program updates
• Maintain attendance records, reports, and program documentation
• Ensure compliance with school policies, safety procedures, and state regulations
• Order and manage program supplies and materials
• Organize special events, field trips, or seasonal programs
• Provide conflict resolution and behavior management when needed
• Support homework help, tutoring, and skill-building activities

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Experience working with children or youth programs preferred
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of child safety practices and supervision procedures
• High school diploma required; college coursework in education, child development, or related field preferred

Work Environment:
This position works in a school or community program setting and may require afternoon and early evening hours during the school year. The After-School Coordinator must be able to actively supervise children, lead activities, and respond quickly to safety needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour
