Overview

Join our vibrant team as an After-School Instructor, where your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire children and foster a positive, engaging environment after school hours. In this role, you will lead dynamic activities, provide supervision, and support the social and emotional development of young learners. Your energy and commitment will help create a safe space for children to explore, learn, and grow beyond the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Facilitate engaging youth group activities, including arts and crafts, sports, educational games, and outdoor adventures
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies
• Implement age-appropriate curricula that promote childhood development and social skills
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid protocols, CPR procedures, and AED operation standards
• Support children with special needs or individualized education plans (IEPs) to ensure inclusive participation
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
• Lead outdoor work activities safely while encouraging teamwork and outdoor exploration
• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute youth development programs that foster leadership and confidence

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols (required)
• Experience with special education or working with children with diverse needs is a plus
• Strong child supervision skills combined with patience and enthusiasm for youth engagement
• Ability to lead outdoor activities safely in various weather conditions
• Background in teaching, tutoring, theater, or childcare enhances effectiveness in this role
• Demonstrated team leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic environment
• Commitment to childhood development principles and youth program best practices

Pay: Up to $22.50 per hour
