Responsibilities

• Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Lead engaging youth activities including arts and crafts, sports, outdoor games, and educational projects
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies
• Facilitate age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote childhood development and social skills
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid protocols and being prepared to respond to emergencies with CPR or AED operation when necessary
• Collaborate with team members to plan and implement youth programs that support developmental milestones
• Support children with special needs by applying inclusive teaching practices and working closely with specialized staff when needed

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
• Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED operation (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Experience in special education or working with children with diverse needs is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to lead outdoor activities safely and effectively in various weather conditions
• Background in theater, tutoring, babysitting, or daycare work is a plus for engaging children creatively
