After-School Program Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated After-School Program Director to lead and oversee our vibrant after-school initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for managing program operations, supervising staff, and ensuring a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children and youth. Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development, and implementation of after-school programs that align with educational standards and community needs.
• Supervise program staff, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and providing ongoing support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Oversee daily program operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational policies.
• Coordinate with schools, parents, and community organizations to promote program participation and foster collaborative relationships.
• Manage administrative tasks using educational administrative software and productivity tools to track attendance, budgets, and program outcomes.
• Develop engaging activities that promote child development, social skills, creativity, and academic support.
• Ensure a safe environment by implementing safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, and responding effectively to emergencies or incidents.

Qualifications

• Higher education teaching experience or background in education administration is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in school administrative leadership or as a school experience coordinator.
• Strong staff supervision skills with a track record of team management in educational settings.
• Experience working with children in early childhood education centers or after-school programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and educational administrative software systems.
• Excellent writing skills for reports, communications, and program documentation.
• Demonstrated ability in program development, personnel management in education environments, and working effectively with students of diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of childcare best practices and early childhood education principles is a plus.
