After School Program Lead (availability minimum 3 days a week)

The Kicks To Learn in Corona, CA is looking for an after-school Program Lead to work with children aged 4 to 12. The part-time position offers $20 per hour. The ideal candidate should be a positive individual with a passion for teaching and working with children. Previous teaching experience is preferred. The classes are held Monday through Friday in elementary schools. The program lead must be available from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The essential qualifications include availability from Monday to Friday throughout the school year, reliable transportation, and a clear background check. Preferred qualifications include experience in playing sports, working with children, CPR/First Aid certification, and previous teaching or coaching experience. Essential Program Lead Qualifications:

• Available – Must have Monday through Friday availability from 12-6 (depending on the school site start times. It can range from 1:30, 1:45, 2, 2:15, and 2:45 but all sites are done by 6 pm. We are looking for subs to work in the after-school program. Minimun days available must be 3 days available from 12-6 pm, time and site location will vary
• Reliable transportation – must have safe and reliable transportation to and from work and a valid driver’s license.
• Background check cleared – successful candidate must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check.
• Tb test results

Preferred Program Lead Qualifications:

• Experience working with children
• CPR/First Aid certified or ability to attain if needed.
• Previous teaching or education/coaching experience (preferably with children ages 4-12)

Responsibilities

• Instruct and coach youth in various sports, including basketball, soccer, and volleyball, and ensure skill development and safety along with being a line staff member in an after-school program
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to CPR and First Aid protocols.
• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging them to participate in activities
• Collaborate with other instructors to organize events and activities.
