Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
• Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive environment
• Assist with homework help, tutoring, or educational exercises tailored to each child's needs
• Implement first aid protocols when necessary, including CPR and AED operation, to respond promptly to emergencies
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and team members to support each child's individual development plan
• Lead outdoor activities and supervise children during recreational or camp-style experiences to promote outdoor work skills and teamwork

Skills

• Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster discipline and respect
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols
• Experience with special education needs or youth programs is highly desirable
• Ability to facilitate youth group activities and outdoor work experiences effectively
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, and team members
• Demonstrated leadership in team environments or youth development programs
• Creativity in planning engaging lessons or recreational activities that cater to diverse interests
• Background in childcare, daycare, babysitting, theater experience or camp experience is advantageous
