After School Teacher

The After School Teacher will be expected to carry out instructions by the Site Director to create a positive learning experience for the children. He/she will assist students with homework, supervise activities, ensure the safety and well-being of all students, and contribute to the effective operation of the center according to our standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure that all materials needed for the daily activities are accessible and replenished as needed.
• Assist in the development of assigned students.
• Conduct daily activities with groups of students according to the schedulle.
• Interact with students in a positive manner.
• Clean and sanitize all tables before students arrive, after snack time, and at the end of the day.
• Check refrigerator daily and clean out at the end of every week, if applicable.
• Document incidents and/or accidents that occur while children are in the group and report to Director, along with any other problems or concerns.
• Ensure good classroom management.
• Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude at all times, with other staff, students, and parents.
• Maintain a positive attitude toward work, co-workers, parents, and students, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Attend all scheduled and mandatory meetings and training events as well as special events and activities hosted by Edutainment as needed.
• Must be willing to make reasonable accommodation to meet student’s needs.
• Perform other duties outside the scope of this position description as requested by the Supervisor

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour

Experience:

• working with school age students: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
