Aftercare Assistant

We are looking for an Aftercare Assistant to join our team and provide quality care for our families. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assistance with activities for our afternoon care. They will also be expected to sub for other teachers when they are on vacation or out sick. While this is a part time job, there will be many opportunities through out the year to get more hours. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards providing care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist teacher in maintaining classroom harmony.
• Be actively involved with children during daily activities.
• Help to maintain a neat orderly classroom.
• Assist during drop-off and pick-up procedures.
• Engage children in cooperative play.
• Work in harmony with all staff of preschool.
• Comply with licensing regulations.
• Engage with current and prospective parents/families while being responsive to their needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.60 per hour
