Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Aftercare Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will oversee children’s activities after school hours, ensuring a safe, fun, and enriching environment. Your enthusiasm for childhood development and strong classroom management skills will help foster positive experiences that support each child's growth and well-being.

Duties

• Supervise children during after-school hours, maintaining a safe and structured environment.
• Facilitate engaging youth group activities, including arts, crafts, outdoor play, and educational games.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and social skills.
• Ensure all children are accounted for during transitions and activities, providing attentive child supervision at all times.
• Follow first aid protocols and respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies using CPR or AED as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to develop age-appropriate lesson plans that support childhood development goals.
• Maintain clear communication with parents regarding children’s progress and daily activities.

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, and AED operation is required or willing to obtain upon hire.
• Experience facilitating youth programs or camp activities is a plus.
• Background in special education or experience working with children with special needs is advantageous.
• Strong team leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Outdoor work experience and familiarity with outdoor safety protocols are beneficial.
