Afternoon float shifts are between the hours of 12-6 PM. In times can vary (12, 1, 2, latest is 3 PM). We are looking for Monday- Friday, with a two shift per week requirement.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers by assisting with lesson implementation, activity setup, and student engagement during afternoon hours
• Supervise children during free play, snack time, outdoor activities, and transitions to promote positive behavior and social skills
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocol
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily updates, behavioral observations, and developmental progress
• Assist with classroom management strategies to foster respectful interactions and encourage positive behavior
• Support special education needs by adapting activities for children requiring additional assistance or accommodations

Skills

• Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including daycare or preschool environments
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage parents effectively
• Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is a plus
