Afternoon Shift Supervisor Join Visy Logistics and lead our afternoon transport operation based in Penrith. Role Details Visy Global Logistics provides integrated road, rail, intermodal and supply chain solutions across Australia. As our Afternoon Shift Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the Penrith glass transport operation, ensuring people, equipment and resources are utilised effectively to meet customer expectations, operational targets and compliance requirements. You will lead a team of drivers and operational staff while partnering closely with production, customer service and site stakeholders to deliver outstanding service outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and supervise the afternoon shift transport operation
• Manage driver and resource allocation to maximise operational efficiency
• Ensure freight movements are completed safely, on time and in line with customer requirements
• Maintain compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR and workplace safety standards
• Drive operational performance against key service and productivity KPIs
• Monitor team performance, coaching and developing employees to achieve their potential
• Investigate service failures, incidents and operational issues, implementing corrective actions where required
• Work closely with production, customer service and warehouse teams to coordinate daily requirements and urgent requests
• Ensure accurate operational records, reporting and administrative processes are maintained
• Deliver effective shift handovers to ensure seamless operation across shifts.

What You'll Bring

• Previous leadership experience within transport, logistics, warehousing or distribution environments
• Strong understanding of transport operations and fleet coordination
• Knowledge of CoR, NHVR and workplace health and safety requirements
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop frontline teams
• Strong customer service focus and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisation skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic operational environment
• Experience using transport, warehouse or enterprise systems such as TMS, WMS or SAP will be highly regarded
