Be the best part of a kid’s afternoon.

When the school bell rings, a lot of kids are tired, hungry, and ready to move. You’re the person who picks them up, gets them where they need to go safely, and turns the rest of the afternoon into something they look forward to: a game of kickball, a messy art project, or a building challenge that takes over the whole table.

This role is a good fit if you want steady afternoon hours. That could be a college student, a parent whose own kids are in school, a retiree who still has plenty of energy, or anyone who wants meaningful part-time work. Families count on you to get their kids from school to us safely, and to make sure their kids are known and having fun once they’re here.

What your afternoons look like

• Driving our van to pick children up from school and bringing them to Sunshine safely
• Signing children in and out and keeping a careful count at every handoff
• Leading games, sports, outdoor play, arts and crafts, and STEM activities
• Keeping kids active, included, and getting along, and helping them work it out when they don’t
• Setting a good example: respectful, positive, and consistent
• Talking with parents at pickup about how the afternoon went
• Helping keep the space clean and organized, and closing out the day
• Keeping ratios where they need to be and following every safety procedure, on the van and off

Who thrives here

You’re dependable, because a family’s whole afternoon depends on you showing up. You’re calm behind the wheel and patient with a van full of kids. You can get a group of 8-year-olds to line up without yelling, and you’d rather play the game than watch it from the sidelines. You stay flexible when plans change, and you work well with the team around you.

What you’ll need

• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Experience with school-age children preferred. Coaching, camp, babysitting, or raising your own kids all count.
• CPR/First Aid certification. Not certified yet? We’ll schedule and pay for your CPR class.
• A background check and fingerprinting, as required by Montana licensing
• Clear communication and good teamwork
• Energy to keep up with kids who’ve been sitting at a desk all day
