Richmond Motor Group are a highly successful, family run multi-franchise group of dealerships. Since our inception in 1995 we have won many industry awards and accolades, including several from the manufacturers that we are partnered with.

We're looking for a proactive and organised Aftersales Support Driver to join our busy Aftersales team at our flagship dealership in Portsmouth!

This is much more than a driving role… Working across our busy site, you'll help our Service Advisors and Technicians work efficiently by keeping vehicles, loan cars and daily tasks moving. From moving vehicles between our car parks, workshops and valet bays to collecting and delivering customer vehicles, you'll play an important part in keeping the whole operation running smoothly.

This is a busy, hands-on position where no two days are the same. You'll need energy, initiative and a willingness to get involved wherever you're needed. Overtime may also be available during busier periods.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on, fast-paced role and wants to build a career in the motor trade, with the potential to progress into a Service Advisor position in the future.

As our Aftersales Support Driver, you'll be:

  • Collecting and delivering customer vehicles to their homes, along with providing and collecting courtesy cars when customers' vehicles are being repaired.
  • Bringing vehicles into the workshop when required, helping Technicians spend more time working on vehicles and less time moving them.
  • Moving vehicles between our car parks, showrooms, workshops and valet bays to keep the site organised and departments ready for the day.
  • Checking vehicles for existing damage when they arrive for work and recording their condition, including taking walkaround videos.
  • Responding to requests from different departments, keeping colleagues informed and helping resolve day-to-day issues.
  • Checking courtesy car records, keeping track of bookings, dates and return times, and ensuring records are up to date.
  • Supporting the Service Desk and Workshop with daily tasks, vehicle movements and general administration.
  • Providing a friendly and professional service when dealing with customers.

Ideally, you are:

  • A confident driver with previous commercial or professional driving experience accompanied with office/administration experience (highly desirable).
  • Physically fit and comfortable with an active role that involves spending much of the day on your feet.
  • Organised, reliable and able to manage several tasks and changing priorities throughout the day.
  • Comfortable using computers, updating records and completing basic administrative tasks.
  • A good communicator who enjoys helping customers and working with different teams.
  • Proactive, practical and happy to use your initiative without needing constant direction.
  • Interested in developing a career in the motor trade, ideally with an ambition to progress into a Service Advisor role in the future.

Some of our excellent benefits include:

  • 30 Days Holiday (including bank holidays) that raises with length of service.
  • Private online GP service for employees and their family members.
  • Excellent training and career progression opportunities.
  • Friends and Family Car Repairs, Servicing, and MOT’s.
  • Annual Christmas Party & Awards Evening.
  • Preferential Car-Purchasing Schemes.
  • Internal Monthly Prize Competitions.
  • High Street Discounts with Perkbox.
  • Recognition and Reward Program.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Workplace Pension Scheme.
  • Employee Referral Bonus.
  • Wellness Program.

So what are you waiting for!? Apply to become our new Aftersales Support Driver today!

Pay: Up to £29,741.40 per year

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • Employee discount
  • Referral programme

Application question(s):

  • Do you hold a full manual UK driving licence?
  • This is a hybrid role involving both driving duties and service desk/administrative responsibilities. Please confirm that you have read and understood the full job description and have experience in both professional or commercial driving (even if driving was only a minor part of a previous role) and office-based administration.
