Afterschool Pick Up Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Afterschool Pick Up Driver to ensure the safe and timely transportation of children from school to designated locations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with children, providing reliable transportation while fostering a positive and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily pick-up schedules, maintaining vehicle safety, and demonstrating excellent communication skills to coordinate with parents, schools, and guardians. Responsibilities

• Safely transport children from school to designated afterschool locations according to scheduled times
• Verify student attendance and ensure all children are accounted for during pick-up and drop-off
• Maintain a clean, well-maintained vehicle equipped with safety features suitable for transporting children
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding schedules or any issues that arise
• Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure a secure transportation environment
• Keep accurate records of daily trips and any incidents or concerns during transportation
• Assist in managing children’s behavior in a calm and positive manner while ensuring their safety at all times

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, or caregiving settings is highly preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and school personnel
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicle operation and basic maintenance is a plus
• Experience providing care or working with vulnerable populations
• Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with families and community members

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
