What they need
Lead a brand-new care facility from the ground up.
We are looking for an experienced, people-focused Care Facility Manager to take a key leadership role within a brand-new aged-care facility currently under development. Clinical management experience is preferred but not a must. This is a unique opportunity to join early and help shape the culture, team, systems and resident experience of a completely new facility — rather than inheriting the way things have always been done.
Our wider organisation is growing, with a number of new care facilities being developed around a clear vision: to create exceptional places to live, supported by genuinely thoughtful care and strong, people-led teams.
We are looking for a Facility Manager who shares that vision and wants the opportunity to build something meaningful from the beginning.
The opportunity
As Facility Manager, you will play a central role in establishing and leading the facility through its opening and beyond.
Initially, you will work closely with the wider development and leadership teams as the facility progresses toward completion, helping prepare the operational side of the business and ensuring we are ready to deliver an exceptional resident experience from day one.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the establishment and day-to-day operation of the new facility
- Building, developing and supporting a high-performing care team
- Creating a positive, resident-focused culture
- Overseeing staffing, rostering, recruitment and team performance
- Maintaining high standards of care, service and resident wellbeing
- Ensuring regulatory, quality and compliance requirements are consistently met
- Building strong relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals
- Working closely with clinical leadership and the wider management team
- Developing and implementing operational systems and processes prior to opening
- Helping shape how the facility operates, feels and delivers care
- Supporting occupancy growth and creating a strong reputation within the local community
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys being involved, solving problems and building strong teams.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for someone with proven leadership experience within aged care, healthcare, retirement living or a similar people-focused environment.
Ideally, you will also have clinical management experience, although this is not essential. We are equally interested in experienced facility leaders who understand how to build strong teams, maintain high standards and create an exceptional environment for residents.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Have experience managing an aged-care, healthcare or retirement-living facility
- Have strong leadership and people-management capability
- Understand the operational requirements of running a quality care environment
- Are confident managing teams, performance and day-to-day operations
- Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Are organised, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership
- Have a genuine passion for resident wellbeing and quality of life
- Are proactive, calm and solutions-focused
- Enjoy building culture rather than simply managing process
- Want to be part of a growing organisation where you can have genuine influence
Clinical management, Registered Nurse or senior clinical experience would be highly regarded, but is not a requirement for the right candidate.
A rare opportunity to build from the beginning
What makes this role different is the opportunity to join a completely new facility built from the ground up. You won’t be stepping into an established operation with inherited systems, culture and expectations.
Instead, you will have the opportunity to help influence how the facility operates before the doors even open — from recruitment and team culture through to resident experience, operational procedures and the small details that make a facility feel like home.
We want the person in this role to take genuine ownership and become a key part of the facility’s identity.
Why join us?
We are entering an exciting stage of growth, with new care facilities being developed and a long-term vision for creating a distinctive approach to aged care.
For the right person, this role offers:
- The opportunity to lead a brand-new facility from opening
- Genuine input into systems, culture and operations
- The ability to build your own team
- Close involvement with senior leadership
- A long-term role within a growing organisation
- Opportunity for further progression as our care portfolio expands
We are looking for someone who wants more than simply their next Facility Manager role. We want someone who is excited by the opportunity to build, lead and leave their mark on a completely new care community.
Other offers great for you!
