About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Distribution – Mobile Financial Services (MFS), the Agent Coordinator will be responsible for building and sustaining the Mobile Money distribution network and channels and execute all initiatives leading to the end goal.

The Agent Coordinator will be responsible for the Digicel CellMoni and Master-Agent acquisitions and management and will contribute to identifying business opportunities and ensuring leads are following through to deliver sales target. Additionally, the role will support in the implementation of the Distribution strategy for Digicel (PNG) Financial Services Limited (DFSL).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver business goals set by EXCO and in accordance with overall Digicel Financial Services Limited (DFSL) strategy.

2. Collaborate with Regional General Managers (RGMs), General Managers (GMs), and Commercial Managers (CMs) to identify, recruit, onboard, and activate new CellMoni agents across all regions and provinces, ensuring alignment with network expansion and business growth objectives.

3. Agent Training & Capacity Building.

• Train agents on CellMoni products, services, and processes.
• Provide refresher training on new products, promotions, and system updates.
• Educate agents on compliance, fraud prevention, and customer service standards.
• Ensure agents understand operational and settlement procedures.

4. Agent Relationship Management.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for agents.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with agents.
• Resolve agent concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
• Conduct regular agent visits to strengthen engagement.

5. Performance Monitoring.

• Monitor agent transaction volumes and activity levels.
• Track performance against assigned KPIs and targets.
• Identify inactive or underperforming agents and implement reactivation plans.
• Prepare regular performance reports and recommendations.

6. Liquidity & Float Management.

• Monitor agent liquidity levels and cash availability.
• Assist agents with float management and rebalancing requirements.
• Ensure agents maintain adequate working capital to support transactions.
• Coordinate support during periods of high transaction demand.

7. Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure agents operate in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor compliance with KYC, AML, and operational guidelines.
• Report suspicious activities or fraudulent transactions.
• Support periodic agent audits and reviews.

8. Branding & Visibility

• Ensure agents display approved branding materials.
• Verify visibility of CellMoni signage and promotional materials.
• Support rollout of marketing campaigns and promotions.
• Maintain professional standards at agent locations.

9. Agent Support

• Support agents in handling customer queries and complaints.
• Ensure service issues are resolved within agreed timelines.
• Promote excellent customer experience across the agent network.
• Gather market feedback and customer insights.

10. Reporting & Administration

• Maintain accurate agent records and databases.
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports.
• Track recruitment, activation, and performance statistics.
• Provide market intelligence and competitor insights.

11. Develop financial and Digicel (PNG) Financial Services Limited (DFSL) ecosystem through agent network.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA will be considered an added advantage.
• At least more than 4 years of Distribution experience within Mobile Financial Services, fintech, telecom, or financial sectors.
• Strong operational experience in field visit to manage the day-to-day growth of the network.
• Strong experience in expanding and managing the distribution of a mass market product or service.
• Demonstrated experience in building a distribution network from the start and managing its expansion.
• Experience in stakeholder’s management or across diverse cultures and geographies is advantageous.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Possess knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services
