AGM Warehouse

Responsibilities

• Warehouse Operations Oversight: Direct end-to-end activities across all warehouse locations, focusing on optimized storage solutions, material handling protocols, safety compliance, and facility housekeeping.
• Goods Receipt & Verification: Supervise the Goods Receipt Note (GRN) workflow, including rigorous checks on quantities, item conditions, and serial number validation.
• Standardization: Develop and enforce uniform storage methodologies and operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency across the entire network.
• Inventory Integrity: Guarantee precise inventory records within the FEP system regarding Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), serial numbers, and storage locations through regular cycle counts, audits, and variance investigations.
• Stock Control: Manage the lifecycle of stock issues, including returns, scrap disposal, and damaged goods, while actively preventing loss and theft.
• Replenishment Coordination: Monitor spare parts inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment to prevent stockouts.
• Order Fulfillment: Transform installation schedules into detailed, project-specific pick lists derived from approved Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Dispatch Accuracy: Oversee the picking, kitting, packing, and dispatching processes with strict verification controls to ensure error-free delivery.
• Shortage Management: Proactively detect material gaps and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve supply constraints.
• Logistics Planning: Coordinate daily shipment schedules to project sites, managing transporter performance, freight expenditures, and fleet availability.
• Transit Safety: Ensure safe handling of goods during transit to minimize damage and maintain high service levels.
• Delivery Tracking: Monitor proof of delivery documentation and maintain close communication with installation teams to confirm receipt.
• Reverse Logistics: Handle the processing of returns, defective items, and vendor claims, including the management of transit damage and insurance claims.
• Process Improvement: Conduct root cause analyses on delivery failures and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
• Digital Transformation: Lead initiatives to digitize warehouse operations and enhance FEP processes.
• Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, delivery timelines, and logistics costs.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to GST regulations, e-way bill generation, delivery documentation standards, and audit requirements.
• Audit Support: Facilitate inventory reconciliation and assist in statutory audits.
• Team Development: Lead, mentor, and grow the warehouse, dispatch, and logistics teams through effective workforce planning and performance management.
• Culture Building: Foster an organizational culture centered on safety, accountability, and continuous operational improvement.

Requirements

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field); MBA in Operations or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in warehousing and logistics, including:
• • Minimum 5 years in an FMCG organization.
  • Minimum 5 years leading multi-location warehouse and distribution operations.
• Proven experience managing high-volume FMCG warehousing and secondary distribution networks with strong performance in OTIF, fill rate, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment.
• Hands-on experience with WMS/ERP systems, barcode or serial number tracking, and advanced Excel/reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse operations, and outbound logistics.
• Working knowledge of GST regulations, e-way bills, transportation documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, geographically distributed teams.

Good to Have

• Experience in high-growth, scaling, or pre-IPO organizations.
• Background with leading FMCG companies, 3PL providers, or large distribution networks.
• Exposure to handling bulky, fragile, or high-value products such as consumer durables, electrical equipment, or solar products.
• Experience in warehouse process setup, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Lean, Six Sigma, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Warehouse Management certifications.
• Familiarity with BI tools and dashboard-driven performance management.
