Agricultural Service Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing various types of industrial and heavy equipment. This role requires expertise in diesel engine repair, as well as the ability to operate and troubleshoot farm machinery and tractor-trailer systems. As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our equipment is running efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Technician will be required to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair respective systems on all makes and models of equipment sold and serviced by Heartland Tractor Company
• Must be proficient in electronic systems, hydraulic systems, power-train and transmission systems, engines and components, air conditioning systems.
• Technicians will be required to safely operate many different types of agricultural and construction equipment as part of normal job functions.
• Technicians will be responsible for keeping a neat and safe working space in all areas in which work is to be completed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role in heavy equipment or industrial equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in diesel engine repair and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
• Experience operating farm machinery and tractor-trailer systems is preferred.
• Strong welding skills are a plus for performing necessary repairs.
• Ability to maintain detailed records and communicate effectively with team members.
• A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to heavy equipment operation are advantageous.
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
