AHLI K3 KIMIA (Chemical Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist)

About the Role

PT Donlim Technology Indonesia is seeking a highly qualified Ahli K3 Kimia (Chemical Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist) to lead and strengthen our environmental, chemical safety, and regulatory compliance programs. This strategic position plays a critical role in ensuring safe chemical management practices, environmental sustainability, occupational health and safety compliance, and continuous improvement of our Environmental Management System.

The successful candidate will serve as a key advisor in environmental protection, hazardous waste management, chemical safety, emergency preparedness, and compliance with Indonesian regulations and international standards, supporting the company's commitment to sustainable manufacturing and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Chemical Safety & Occupational Health

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve chemical health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct chemical hazard identification, risk assessments, and workplace inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Monitor chemical handling, storage, transportation, and disposal activities to ensure safe operational practices.
• Provide technical guidance regarding chemical hazards, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), PPE requirements, and emergency response procedures.
• Investigate chemical-related incidents, accidents, near misses, and environmental events, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Organize and deliver safety training programs related to chemical management and occupational health.

Environmental Management & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, permits, and reporting requirements.
• Develop and maintain Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in accordance with ISO 14001 and company standards.
• Lead environmental impact identification and assessment activities, emissions monitoring, environmental quality monitoring, and greenhouse gas management programs.
• Oversee air pollution, wastewater, soil contamination prevention, and hazardous waste (B3) management programs.
• Coordinate environmental audits, regulatory inspections, and corrective action implementation.
• Prepare internal and external environmental reports for management and government authorities.

Sustainability & Continuous Improvement

• Support company initiatives related to ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance), PROPER, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• Recommend process improvements and environmental engineering solutions to reduce environmental impact and operational risks.
• Develop departmental work plans, budgets, KPIs, and continuous improvement projects.
• Design and conduct environmental emergency response simulations and evaluate effectiveness.
• Build environmental awareness through training, coaching, and employee engagement programs.

Stakeholder & Regulatory Coordination

• Liaise with environmental authorities, government agencies, auditors, and external stakeholders.
• Maintain environmental permits, compliance records, chemical inventories, and audit documentation.
• Support internal and external audits, including environmental, health, safety, and sustainability assessments.

Qualifications

Education

• Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in:

  • Chemical Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Chemistry
  • Environmental Science
  • Biotechnology Engineering
  • Other relevant technical disciplines

Certifications (Mandatory)

Must possess at least one of the following certifications:

• Ahli K3 Kimia
• PPPA (Penanggung Jawab Pengendalian Pencemaran Air)
• MLB3 (Manajemen Limbah B3)
• Auditor Lingkungan

Preferred Additional Certifications

• PPPU (Pengendalian Pencemaran Udara)
• PLNB3 (Pengelolaan Limbah Non-B3)
• Auditor Energi
• ISO 14001 Internal Auditor
• ISO 45001 Internal Auditor

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Chemical Safety Management, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience in manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
• Experience handling environmental audits, government inspections, and regulatory compliance programs.

Technical Competencies

• Strong understanding of Indonesian environmental regulations and occupational health & safety requirements.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
• Familiarity with PROPER, ESG frameworks, and sustainability reporting practices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of chemical properties, hazardous materials management, and B3 waste regulations.
• Ability to conduct environmental risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Proficient in preparing environmental reports, compliance documentation, and technical presentations.
