About the Role

Urban Farm Tech is looking for a motivated AI & IoT Software Developer to develop and enhance our smart farming technology platform.

You will work on real-world IoT applications, AI integration, cloud dashboards, and intelligent farm monitoring solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain web-based IoT monitoring dashboards and applications.

Integrate IoT devices and sensor data using MQTT, REST APIs, and cloud platforms.

Develop backend applications using Python, JavaScript, or Node.js.

Integrate AI APIs such as OpenAI or Claude into farming applications.

Support the development of AI camera monitoring for plant health, pest detection, and nutrient deficiency alerts.

Maintain databases, cloud applications, and existing software systems.

Troubleshoot software issues and support IoT system deployment.

Use AI-assisted coding tools to improve development efficiency.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related disciplines.

1–3 years of software development experience.

Proficiency in Python or JavaScript.

Experience with web applications, APIs, and databases.

Basic understanding of IoT architecture and cloud services.

Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or GitHub Copilot.

Willingness to learn new technologies and solve real-world problems.

Able to work independently and collaborate with engineering teams.

Added Advantages: MQTT, AWS IoT, React, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, computer vision, or agricultural automation experience.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
