  • Assist in root cause analysis and technical investigations for customer and operational issues.

  • Respond to internal engineering support requests using sound engineering principles and analytical techniques.

  • Prepare technical documentation, engineering procedures, reports and project documentation in accordance with company standards.

  • Develop and deliver technical presentations to customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Support unplanned or forced outage investigations by providing AI/ML expertise where appropriate.

  • Provide technical support to commercial teams during sales and service proposal activities.

  • Propose innovative AI solutions that enhance engineering capability and business performance.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support emerging business needs.

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or a related discipline (completed or due to complete soon).

  • Good understanding of data analysis, statistical modelling and machine learning techniques.

  • Experience using AI/ML frameworks and libraries including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Pandas, Matplotlib and Scikit-learn.

  • Knowledge of mathematics including calculus, probability, statistics, linear algebra and optimisation.

  • Strong computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures and parallel/distributed computing.

  • Programming experience in one or more languages such as Python, Java, C or C++.

  • Understanding of mathematical optimisation and/or statistical machine learning.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • A pragmatic and flexible approach to solving engineering problems.

  • Ability to translate AI/ML knowledge into practical engineering applications.

Desirable

  • Understanding of gas and steam turbine operation.
  • Experience with SQL and Power BI.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software.
  • Knowledge of Finite Element Modelling (FEM).
