AI Application Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on AI Application Engineer to build new AI-powered products, internal tools and workflow automation solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning early ideas into working products, experimenting with emerging AI technologies, and bringing practical AI solutions into real business use.

You will work on innovative projects across product experience, business operations and internal productivity, with a focus on LLM applications, AI agents, RAG-based knowledge systems and enterprise system integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and launch AI-powered applications from prototype to production.
• Explore and prototype innovative AI use cases across product experience, business operations and internal productivity.
• Integrate AI solutions with AWS, Microsoft platform, CRM databases, APIs and internal systems.
• Develop backend services, APIs, MCP and lightweight user interfaces for AI tools and internal applications.
• Evaluate commercial LLMs, open-source models and small language models for different business use cases.
• Implement security and governance controls including authentication, access control, logging, monitoring and data protection.
• Work closely with business, product and technical teams to turn ambiguous but innovative ideas into practical AI solutions.
• Optimize AI applications for output quality, cost, latency, scalability and reliability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with AI/ML or LLM applications.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with LLM application development, including prompt design, function/tool calling, structured outputs and model evaluation.
• Hands-on experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases and document processing.
• Experience building AI agents or workflow automation using frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar.
• Experience developing backend APIs/services using frameworks such as FastAPI, Node.js or similar.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with databases and data integration, including SQL, REST APIs and cloud storage.
• Understanding of AI security, data privacy and responsible AI practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, zero-to-one environment.
